Unlockt ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Unlockt mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those providers (name and email).

Study Materials

When you upload documents (PDFs, notes, etc.) for quiz generation, we process these materials to generate quiz questions. Your study materials are used solely for the purpose of creating personalized quizzes and are not shared with any third parties.

Usage & Analytics Data

We collect usage analytics to improve our services, including: quiz completion rates, study session durations, feature interactions (e.g. paywall views, purchase events, shield unlock events), and onboarding step completion. This data is linked to your account for service improvement but is not shared with third-party analytics providers. We do not use IDFA or any cross-app tracking.

Push Notifications

If you opt in, we collect your device push token to send study reminders and app unlock notifications. Your push token is stored securely on our servers and is used solely for delivering notifications from Unlockt. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Screen Time & App Restrictions

Unlockt uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls) to manage app restrictions on your device. All app restriction data is managed entirely on your device. We do not have access to which apps you have installed, which apps you choose to block, or your app usage patterns. Apple's Screen Time API is designed to be privacy-preserving — app identifiers are opaque tokens that cannot be reverse-engineered.

How We Use Your Information

Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Children's Privacy

Unlockt is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

You have the right to:
